LSU linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. officially declared for the NFL draft early Wednesday afternoon.
Perkins Jr. has a career total of over 200 tackles and over 17 sacks throughout his time in college. He forced eight fumbles and five interceptions over the 48 games he played for the Tigers.
In the 2025 season, he had 55 total tackles, 26 solo tackles, 29 assisted tackles, and four sacks.
He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and was ranked as a top-ten national prospect.
Perkins received multiple awards throughout his time at LSU to the likes of All-SEC honors First-Team in 2022, Second-Team in 2023, Freshman All-America selections in 2022, weekly SEC Player of the Week awards and was named LSU’s Percy E. Roberts Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
He took his NFL draft announcement to Instagram, “These past few years here at LSU have shaped me in ways I’ll be grateful for forever. From the moment I stepped on campus, this program pushed me to grow – not just as a player, but as a man” Perkins stated.
As the draft starts to approach there is no doubt that whichever team decides to draft Perkins they are getting a proven player from the Tigers.
