After a tough loss to Georgia last Friday, the LSU Gymnastics team seems to be pretty confident going into Kentucky this week.
All-Around sophomore Lexi Zeiss expressed how music keeps her and her teammates motivated, but also different in their own ways.
She also mentioned that the team needs to continue to grow to be able to succeed.
“I think our main approach is moving on. We addressed what we needed to address in a team meeting, and it was really good and very athlete-led. It was just what we felt went good and what we felt we needed to work on, but it’s early, and it’s just growth at this point,” Zeiss stated.
With a strong #4 team that is pretty full of upperclassmen, the Tigers are stacked with gymnasts who can share their knowledge and advice with the new people on the team.
“We have a lot of leaders on this team that are able to go to each person individually, and I think a lot of us are really receptive to that, too. It’s helpful, and we are able to do it back to them, and anyone can really do it in the gym, which I think is really cool,” Innes mentioned.
Going into Kentucky, the Tigers can at least have some weight lifted off their shoulders knowing they are playing at home in the PMAC after the last two weeks on the road.
