Have you met Ashley Barbier?
In the classroom, she’s a psychology major. Outside of the classroom she is the new Miss Vieux Carre 2014. 
Barbier is not your average beauty queen. She competes with a platform to bring awareness to psychological problems. She says her studies at LSU give her pageant platform “a lot of insight on different aspects of it.”
Barbier has been competing in pageants, since the age of four. This summer she will compete in the Miss America preliminary pageant: Miss Louisiana.
