HOUSTON, TX – Rumors swirling. No word from coaches or spokespeople. Everyone generally confused. It seems that’s become the norm before every LSU season, and 2014 is no different.
Early on Friday, multiple sources reported that LSU cornerback Rashard Robinson did not travel with the team. However, it was announced that there would be no personnel discussions until after the game versus Wisconsin.
If Robinson is suspended, the LSU secondary will undergo a last-second shuffle – perhaps moving around players like Jalen Mills and Jalen Collins – and providing opportunities for players such as Rickey Jefferson to step up in that backfield.
The 2014 Tiger defense looks to rebound from last year and return to its form from years’ past. That transformation begins at 8:00pm in Houston.
