First year LSU women’s basketball coach Nikki Caldwell gave birth to her first child Tuesday morning, confirmed by the official LSU women’s basketball Twitter account.
Two days after missing out on a Southeastern Conference championship, Caldwell received a different bundle of joy, as Justice Simone Fargas was born at 5:44 a.m., according to the tweet, weighing in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long.
The Twitter account also confirmed the health of both Caldwell and Justice.
“Coach and the baby are doing great. She will be back on the court soon. LSU doesn’t play again until 13 days,” a tweet read.
