LSUPD responded to three armed robberies on campus tonight.
The first occurred at East Campus Apartments at 9:45 p.m. and two more were reported at Miller Hall about 30 minutes later. Police suspect the same men committed all three robberies.
At 11 p.m. the suspects had not been located.
Maj. Rabalais, LSUPD spokesperson, said the suspects approached the victims who were walking alone and asked for directions. The suspects then pulled out a gun and demanded the victims’ property.
Rabalais said the suspects stole a wallet from the first victim and a cell phone from the second. The third victim was still being interviewed at press time.
Rabalais warned students to be careful when walking on campus at night and to travel in groups.
The suspects were described by the victims as two black males driving in a dark colored SUV, Rabalais said. The police have a partial licenses plate number.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact LSUPD at 578-3231.
