Oregon’s Kavell Bigby-Williams announced on Tuesday via Twitter that he will be transferring to LSU to finish his college career.
“At this point of my career this is solely a business decision and was a very important one going forward,” Bigby-Williams said in his tweet.
This is a big pick up for the Tigers in the future after losing senior big man Elbert Robinson, when he announced on Monday he would be stepping away from the team due to medical reasons.
The native of London, England will sit out the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer rules and will be eligible to play in the 2018-19 season.
Bigby-Williams was a part of the 2017 Final Four team and appeared in 37 games with one start.
The 6-foot-11 forward averaged three points and 2.8 blocks per game with the Ducks.
Prior to Oregon, Bigby-Williams was the No. 3 junior college prospect nationally.
He will take Robertson’s scholarship and is the seventh new player added to LSU’s roster for the 2017-18 season.
The Tigers are now at the maximum amount of scholarships that can be given.
