LSU defeated Vanderbilt 88-78 in an SEC match up at the PMAC on Tuesday night. The win for the tigers kept Vanderbilt winless on the road on the road.
The tigers were led by a strong offensive effort from Tremont Waters as he scored 28 points and delivered nine assists. Waters broke LSU’s freshman record for assists with 160, passing up Ben Simmons.
LSU was very efficient on the offensive end shooting a season high 63 percent from the field and outscoring Vanderbilt 42-20 in the paint.
LSU goes on the road to play against Georgia in their next game on Saturday.
