LSU’s highly anticipated top three match-up against Alabama was star studded. Vince Vaughn, Lee Corso, Odell Beckham Jr., and many other LSU favorites experienced the fans shake Death Valley Saturday night.
“The crowd really showed up for us,” starting LSU QB Joe Burrow said. “That was the best atmosphere I had ever been a part of.”
But crowd noise was not quite enough for the Tigers to hand the Tide their first loss of the season. Alabama rushed for 281 net yards. The Tigers rushed only for 12 net yards and scored zero points.
“Defense was playing great in the first quarter. But all of a sudden, they started wearing us down,” Coach O told the media following the game. “In the first quarter we just couldn’t do anything on offense.”
As tough as this loss may be, Coach O makes sure this loss is in the Tigers’ rear view. They keep their focus on the road ahead against Arkansas.
When asked if he was worried about moving past this loss and looking ahead to Arkansas, Coach O replied, “No. Not at all. We’ve done it three years in a row now.”
The Tigers travel to Fayetteville to take on the Razorbacks in hopes of keeping the Golden Boot. The time of the game has not yet been decided.
Crowd noise and star-studded audience were not enough for the Tigers to defeat No. 1 Alabama
