Devin Parker, a man accused of killing two University graduate students in December 2007, pled guilty on June 27 to charges of armed robbery and accessory to second-degree murder.
Parker had been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in this case. University graduate students Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam were found dead Dec. 13, 2007.
In 2008, two other men — Casey Gathers and Michael Lewis — were also booked with Parker.
Parker will await a sentence once all other related trials have finished, said District Attorney Hillar Moore.
“We are moving forward in the investigation and hopefully the prosecution of others,” Moore said. “This is an important case for us, and we’re glad that we’re now making some progress. It has taken some time to get Mr. Parker to plead guilty, and we look forward to moving this case along and having justice brought to all others that were involved.”
