Sports around Louisiana State University is a pretty big deal. We have the LSU Football team who is now ranked No. 3 and we have the baseball team that won national championships in 2023 and 2025. 

This may ruffle a few feathers but my hot take for the week is that LSU women’s basketball is the best sport to watch on campus. 

After sending out a poll for people to vote on Instagram, a whopping 68% of people said my hot take was not valid. 

That makes my hot take even hotter. 

You may be thinking what does LSU women’s basketball have that other sports don’t? Great question. 

They are a combined offensive team and they are unstoppable on defense. They also have the energy at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center through the roof.

Also, let us not forget their star player and upcoming senior Flau’jae Johnson, who drops buckets on the court and bars off the court.

So, is LSU Women’s Basketball really the best sport on campus? Or am I just a delusional basketball fan?
