The Brand is LSU Athletics’ powerhouse media and communications team that’s redefining what it means to be a student-athlete on and off the field.
Based inside Tiger Stadium, this unit helps athletes build their personal brands, navigate endorsement opportunities, and connect with audiences far beyond Baton Rouge.
Taylor Jacobs, Associate AD for NIL and Strategic Initiatives, explains, “This is our space within LSU Athletics that gives our student-athletes somewhere to come where they can work on their brand, work on content, and really hone in on who they are…”
Her team combines graphic design, video production, radio, social media strategy, and NIL support all under one roof. It’s a full-scale creative operation built to elevate athletes into household names.
Jacobs shares how stars like Angel Reese have thrived by blending LSU’s branding with their own unique voice. The Brand supports every step of that journey, from photo shoots to sit down conversations on how they can make their dreams reality.
But the impact goes deeper than deals and exposure. Jacobs says, “I don’t want any of our athletes to get an NIL deal and just be done. I want them to appreciate it and figure out how they can use it beyond their time here at LSU.” Her goal is for athletes to carry the lessons, confidence, and creativity into their next chapters.
From billboards on I-10 to billboards in New York City, The Brand is putting LSU on the map. Whether it’s designing graphics that trend nationwide or running live productions, The Brand isn’t just telling LSU’s story—they’re shaping how the world sees its athletes.
