Harry Styles last released new music on May 20, 2022, and last performed live on July 23, 2023. He concluded that performance with a piano ballad before stepping out of the public eye for more than two years.
During his absence, fans still saw glimpses of Styles through Pleasing brand announcements, marathon appearances, and pictures from locations around the world. Musically, however, Styles stayed silent– until recently.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, he’s back.
After a well-earned break, Styles has officially returned. The hints started right after Christmas, with a surprise release of the piano ballad titled “Forever, Forever” on his YouTube Channel.
The release immediately sparked speculation of new music and a possible tour, signaling the end of the Harry’s House Era.
On January 14, Styles officially announced his fourth studio album, “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally,” set to release on March 6, with an Instagram post. The announcement post gained 6.8 million likes and 2.2 million shares in just six days, as the internet flooded with posts of Styles’ return. Following such a long hiatus, ticket demand is expected to be especially high.
Six days later, Styles announces the album’s lead single titled “Aperture,” which means “the opening in a photographic lens that admits the light,” according to Merriam-Webster. This announcement amassed 4.4 million likes in a single day. Musically, it’s nothing like he’s ever put out before and leans into a more energetic sound. It gained 12.47 million streams on Spotify in its first day, setting a new record for the biggest global debut for a solo song by a male artist.
Based on the single, “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally,” is gearing up to be drastically different from his previous three albums.
Adding to the excitement, Styles announced his ‘Together, Together’ tour, which visits seven cities, including a whopping 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City. During his last residency at MSG in 2022, Styles sold out 15 consecutive nights. The upcoming tour will span almost seven months, running from May 2026 through December 2026, with fans hopeful that more cities will be announced for 2027.
“Being together includes me being with them,” Styles told HitsRadio. “I want it to feel like I’m also here dancing with you,” he said, explaining how he hopes this tour will feel compared to his previous two.
Alongside the single announcement, Styles released the “Aperture” music video, along with the 12-track titles. Many fans have already learned the dance routine featured in the video.
A new Harry Era has officially begun. Styles’ new album “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally” will be available on March 6.
