LSU Soccer Head Coach Sian Hudson inks an extension with the Tigers through the 2029 season.
This comes well-deserved as Hudson led the Tigers to one of the best seasons in the school’s history as the team made the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. This is not a one-hit wonder as the team has earned NCAA tournament selections in five consecutive seasons.
To add to these accomplishments, Hudson spearheaded a school record 13 game unbeaten streak as well as commanding the team to their third ever SEC championship match while beating quality teams along the way.
Both of these marks allowed the Tigers to host Houston Christian in the first round of the NCAA tournament as a No. 4 seed, which is tied for the school’s highest placement since 2009.
LSU Athletic Director, Verge Ausberry took note of these achievements stating, “The 2025 season raised the bar for LSU Soccer, and we are excited to see Coach Hudson continue to lead this program toward even greater accomplishments.”
Hudson sees eye-to-eye with Ausberry on the outlook of the program as she proudly claimed, “We are excited for what this 2026 team has in store.”
Since coming down to the boot, Hudson has done wonders for the LSU soccer program. She has built a winning culture that demands excellence both on the field and off. With this, Hudson and the Tigers are set up nicely to have a strong 2026 season.
