LSU Softball Head Coach Beth Torina, along with players Tori Edwards and Maci Bergeron, spoke to the media ahead of opening up the 2026 season with the Tiger Classic.
Torina spoke on a great 2025 season and what she expects from this year’s Tigers. LSU is coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance after a 41-14 regular season.
The Tigers have overhauled the offense with captains Tori Edwards and Maci Bergeron speaking on the changes to the offense. “We are hoping to hit more home runs onto the berm,” Edwards stated.
Bergeron spoke on how important it is to play in front of her hometown fans. “I come from a small town in Louisiana, so making it known that anything is possible is part of my life,” the LSU catcher said.
The Tigers play host to NC State, Nevada, Illinois and Lamar in the Tiger Classic to kick off the season. With an extremely deep roster, it will be interesting to see just how far LSU can go.
