LSU gymnasts Amari Drayton, Kylie Coen and Kailin Chio spoke with the media following a victory against No. 14 Penn St.
The PMAC was filled with over 11,000 fans to watch LSU try to extend their home winning streak to 17.
The Tigers were able to prolong the streak thanks to standout performances from Amari Drayton on vault and floor and Kylie Coen on beam and floor.
“This is our house, and the fans were giving us all the energy,” Coen said about the Tigers’ mindset heading into their floor routines. This energy propelled Coen to a personal best on the floor.
Drayton and Coen were able to cash in near-flawless performances on the floor, earning a 9.950 and a 9.925, respectively.
As for Kailin Chio, she was impressive once again. The standout sophomore competed in all four events, earning no score lower than a 9.90. Chio continues to play a crucial role for LSU as she looks to lead the charge to a strong back half of the season.
