LSU Baseball hosted a cross-town matchup against the Southern University Jaguars in Tiger Territory Tuesday, March 31.
The Tigers have an all time series history over the Jaguars of 60-4.
LSU has now increased that record up to 61 wins after defeating the Jaguars Tuesday night 16-6 in run rule fashion now making the Tigers 20-10 overall.
Leading and notable hitters of the night were Steven Milam, Seth DarDar, Derek Curiel, and John Pearson.
Milam was responsible for 2 back-to-back Grand Slams, marking his 3rd of the season.
Curiel and Pearson both added a Grand Slam each, adding some much needed momentum after a slow start for the home team.
DarDar headed into this game as SEC Co-Player Of The Week after batting 6-for-10 combined with four doubles, one home run, five RBI, four runs, and three walks.
On the defensive side in the bull pen, Danny Lachenmayer contributed to the victory by finishing with one inning pitched, one strikeout, and no hits, walks, or runs allowed.
The Tigers will travel next to Rocky Top to face the Tennessee Volunteers for their next SEC series beginning Friday April 3 4:30 p.m. CT. LSU will be looking to pick up another conference win after claiming the Kentucky series this previous weekend.
