The Home ticket has been announced as the winner of the 2026-2027 LSU Student Government election. 

Junior Ben Barousse will serve as the Student Body President, with Junior Anna Katherine Harrell serving as the Student Body Vice President. 

Key components of the Home ticket’s campaign include improved access to mental health support for students, improved emergency awareness and safety resources for commuter students, as well as expanding academic resources across campus. 

Notably, the Home campaign was endorsed by the Savannah Bananas organization leading up to the elections. 

Their win comes after a dispute was settled between the Heart and Home tickets, just days before the announcement.  

The newly elected President and Vice President will begin their terms at the end of the 2026 Spring semester.
