LSU Women’s Basketball player Bella Hines will officially be entering the Transfer Portal.
The 5’10 freshman guard averaged 4.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. She appeared in 33 games this past season and helped bring her team to the Sweet Sixteen round of the NCAA Tournament.
Unfortunately for LSU, their time in March Madness came to an end much sooner after losing to Duke. Hines only played for a total of 6 minutes in her final game and finished with zero points.
In November against Southeastern, she scored her season high of 14 points. A few months later, she played for 25 minutes against Jacksonville, where she scored nine points.
Hines is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was named Player of the Year two years in a row. She was rated the No.30th player in the country by ESPN.
Though Head Coach Kim Mulkey recently stated that she expected to bring back her entire roster for the upcoming season, Hines is the second player to enter the portal, along with fellow freshman Divine Bourrage.
The Transfer Portal opened on April 6th and will close on April 20th.
