Members of the Baton Rouge community came together to raise awareness on kidney disease, and supported the families that have been affected

This event also included various organizations such as Ochsner, which shared resources for people considering being an organ donor

Supporters enjoyed food, music, and got to enjoy the uplifting atmosphere

The focus around this event is to spread awareness and meet people where they are to speak about this topic

Lori Steele, LOPA Educator said, “Hosting events just like this just to give people the facts some people are scared to start that conversation. this is a great way to kind of get those facts out there.”

Organizers are urging people to start this conversation and hoping people can show up for a cause
