Update: The “Happy Pi Day” banner was returned to Lockett Hall with a note reading: “Sorry for taking the sign. Returned it once I saw the news article.”
One of the two ‘Happy Pi Day’ banners seen hanging in front of Lockett Hall this week was reportedly stolen.
According to Sue O’Bannon with the University Math Department, student workers went to take down the two signs when they discovered one was missing.
O’Bannon said the math department purchased the two signs and was planning to store them for next year.
A report has been filed with LSUPD for the missing banner. O’Bannon said that if someone has the banner, she requests they return it to the Math Department located on the third floor of Lockett.
