The No. 5 LSU Lady Tigers will travel to South Carolina to face the No. 2 Gamecocks in an epic SEC battle. The Tigers are undefeated with 20 wins in a row, but will face their toughest challenge yet. South Carolina has won the last 16 matchups against LSU, and are the reigning National Champions. The game was set to be played Thursday evening, but had to be rescheduled to Friday at 4 p.m. CT due to weather travel issues.
Also on Friday, No.2 LSU Gymnastics will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to face No. 17 Razorbacks. LSU star gymnast, Haleigh Bryant, is set to possible compete in three events as she progresses from a shoulder injury that held her back at the begging of the season.
In 2024, both teams met four times, all resulting in wins for the Tigers. Despite the positive results, LSU Gymnastics Head Coach, Jay Clark, is well aware that competing against the Razorbacks will be a tough challenge for his team.
“We move to Arkansas, and get another road test, which traditionally has been difficult for us there,” Jay Clark said.
It will certainly be a tough start to the weekend for both LSU Women’s Basketball Team, and LSU Gymnastics, as they both travel to face some tough SEC opponents. You can watch LSU WBB face South Carolina Friday at 4 p.m. on ESPN. Gymnastics will face Arkansas at 6:45 p.m. on SEC Network+.
