LSU football reels in another commitment from four-star defensive back Dylan Purter, according to Hayes Fawcett.

Purter is listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds from Tuskegee, Ala. He chose the Tigers over programs like North Carolina, Kentucky and Auburn.

Purter is a junior at Booker T Washington High School. He ranks as the No. 339 recruit and No. 29 corner in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Purter didn’t pick up an offer from LSU until Feb. 17. LSU is among 24 schools that have extended one to him.

As a junior, Purter recorded 97 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions in nine games in the 2024 season.

Purter’s commitment is the eighth in the cycle for the Tigers, who now have the No. 1 class in the 2026 cycle, according to On3’s team rankings.
