LSU’s incoming President Wade Rousse estimates that he will assume his position on Nov. 17.
According to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Louisiana Illuminator reporter Piper Hutchinson, Rousse will spend the next two weeks setting up a transition plan for McNeese State University, where he is currently president.
Rousse said his planning at LSU began immediately after he was named Tuesday,
For the first time in over 10 years, the university will have a chancellor, the Board of Supervisors announced Tuesday. Presidential search finalist Jim Dalton will assume the new position of executive vice president and chancellor, where he will oversee the Baton Rouge campus and the research conducted at LSU facilities across the state.
