LSU Sports are sweeping the courts and the field this week. Reporter Carlin Thierry will keep you in the loop.
A very familiar SEC rivalry is happening in Bryant Denny this Saturday. Ty Simpson is a prominent QB over Garrett Nussmeier. In comparison, Simpson has a 67.8% completion percentage, and 2,184 passing yards.
Nussmeier has a 62.6% completion percentage and 1,806 passing yards, with LSU having a current record of 5-3 they are no longer on track to enter the playoffs.
If Garrett can become more consistent in his game, LSU could cause a potential upset for Alabama.
Besides football, basketball is in full swing with season openers. The Lady Tigers defeated Houston Christian on Monday 108-55, and tonight will face Southeastern Louisiana. Men’s basketball played Tarleton State Wednesday night coming out top 96-60.
LSU women’s soccer defeated Mississippi State earlier this evening 3-1, and are now advancing to finals of the SEC tourney. This is the first they’ve advanced to finals since 2018.
We will see if LSU football can keep up this winning streak for the Tigers.
