A member of the LSU Board of Supervisors has stepped down, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry announced Tuesday on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Glenn Armentor has resigned from the Board “to devote his full attention to his law practice,” Landry said.
Armentor was first appointed to the Board in 2016 by former Gov. John Bel Edwards as a representative from the 3rd Congressional District and was reappointed by Edwards in 2022. Armentor’s term was set to expire in 2028.
Landry will now have the opportunity to appoint another Board member.
Armentor was not in attendance for any of last year’s meetings, including the Nov. 4 meeting to select the university’s new president, according to meeting minutes and videos.
Armentor runs The Glenn Armentor Law Corporation, a personal injury firm, in Lafayette, Louisiana.
