Baton Rouge sheriff has confirmed a total of 10 victims, One dead and nine injured after a shooting at the Mall of Louisiana.
Reports say the 2 groups of shooters began firing near the food court, with bystanders getting caught in the action.
Law enforcement has blocked entrances to the mall, allowing only first responders inside as they set up a triage center near JCPenney.
Governor Jeff Landry released a statement:
“I am aware of the active shooter situation at the Mall of Louisiana. I am in coordination with law enforcement and we will update as we know more. Please avoid the area. Sharon and I are praying for those affected and are grateful for the quick response by our law enforcement.”
