Eight LSU football players were named to the Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference teams, the SEC league office announced Tuesday.
Sophomore running back Leonard Fournette landed on the first-team after breaking LSU’s single-season record for rushing yards in a season, compiling 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Fournette also made the second team as a return specialist and all-purpose player.
Senior offensive tackle Vadal Alexander joins Fournette on the first-team, along with injured senior safety Jalen Mills.
Junior linebacker Kendell Beckwith, junior cornerback Tre’Davious White and senior punter Jamie Keehn were named to the all-conference second team, while junior wide receiver Travin Dural and sophomore defensive tackle Davon Godchaux made the third team.
