For the fourth time this season, sophomore linebacker Devin White was named the Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
It is the first time in SEC history that a player has been named the defensive player of the week four times in the same season.
He picked up the other three honors following wins against Florida, Auburn and Arkansas.
White earned the honor following his 13 tackle performance in LSU’s 45-21 win against Texas A&M. He recorded his eighth double digit tackle game, which ties an LSU single-season record.
White leads the SEC in tackles with 127.
