Former LSU defensive lineman Christian LaCouture (2013-2017) is set to join Ed Orgeron’s coaching staff as an assistant defensive line coach, an LSU official confirmed.
LaCouture was a three-year starter at LSU and wore No. 18 as a senior in 2017. He finished his career with 152 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in 50 games.
He entered his name into the 2018 NFL draft and signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. He was released on Sept. 1.
LaCouture will be a graduate assistant, so he will not count as one of the 10 full-time assistant coaches on staff.
