‘Tis the season for Baton Rouge snow, lights and a tree to make the cheer grow.
The Downtown Festival of Lights will be held tonight from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Shaw Center for the Arts.
For more than 25 years, the Festival of Lights has brought holiday cheer to the downtown area. This year will feature a 25-foot Christmas tree, half a million lights, six tons of real snow and free ice skating.
Davis Rhorer, executive director of the Downtown Development District, said the festival gives people a taste of Baton Rouge.
