LSU softball’s Danieca Coffey earns her second SEC Player of the Week award.
Coffey led the Tigers over the past week with a .750 batting average, nine hits, seven walks and a .800 on-base percentage. She logged three multi-hit games in her five games over the week.
Coffey is keeping up a 34-game on-base streak and a seven-game hitting streak. She is ranked No. 2 in the nation in on-base percentage with an average of .667 and No. 5 in the country in batting average of .547.
Coffey has recorded 35 hits, 27 runs and 27 walks this season, leading LSU.
The Tigers host Louisiana-Lafayette for a midweek rivalry matchup on Tuesday night. They then play their first SEC series this weekend, welcoming No. 23 Kentucky starting on Friday.
