LSU Football Head Coach Brian Kelly spoke to the media ahead of their matchup against Ole Miss.
Coach Kelly opened up the press conference by saying that running back Caden Durham is questionable to play on Saturday.
LSU will be facing off against the best offense they have seen thus far. Ole Miss is coming off a game where they dropped forty-five points on Tulane. That being said, this will be the best defense Ole Miss has seen thus far.
Kelly knows that to get a win this weekend, the LSU offense will need to match the defense’s level of execution.
“We can’t win in the SEC saying, ‘We’re just going to lay on our defense and whatever happens there, we’ll let it go,’” Coach Kelly said. “Our offense has got to rise to the occasion as well.”
The LSU offensive line has been playing well together and they are building chemistry as one unit. Coach Kelly wants them to develop a habit of always improving.
“I think we’re just trying to build a consistency of play, communication with the five,” Coach Kelly said. “Like it takes five guys to pass block not one, it takes five guys to run the ball.”
The No. 4 LSU Tigers will go on the road to face off against the No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2:30 p.m. CT inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
