LSU Football players spoke to the media about changes they are making in practice to work towards a win against No. 3 Texas A&M.
Following the loss to Vanderbilt, LSU is continuing to work on improving their offense and getting back to their strong defense that was seen at the beginning of the season.
“The goal is still to go 1-0 every week and just continue to grow and get better as a team and just fix our mistakes,” LSU safety Tamarcus Cooley said. “We’ve just got to do better as a unit.”
Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed’s ability to run the ball poses a threat to the LSU defense.
“We have to have a better sense of urgency than we’ve ever had before,” Defensive Tackle Ahmad Breaux spoke on how the defensive line is preparing to face Reed and Wide Receiver KC Concepcion, who has 33 receptions for 500 yards and six touchdowns on the year.
LSU Punter Grant Chadwick said his focus on improvement is on hang-time and giving the team more time to get to the returner.
“That’s a big factor… help get more time for our guys to get down there,” Chadwick said. “Other than that, I like where we’re at, so I just want to, you know, keep building… the consistency… continue to do that for the next five games.”
The Tigers continue to look ahead to the upcoming game and take last week’s loss as motivation to play hard on Saturday against the Aggies in Death Valley.
