The LSU Lady Tigers are set for an exciting season, opening the year ranked No. 5 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll.
The talented roster, led by Head Coach Kim Mulkey, demonstrated its immense potential in a dominant exhibition performance last week. LSU defeated Mississippi College with a resounding score of 148-46 on Thursday, a clear showcase of the team’s depth and offense.
Following the victory, Head Coach Kim Mulkey emphasized the importance of distribution and ball movement, stating, “We need to share the ball as much as we can.”
The No. 5 ranking is fueled by the addition of the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, featuring multiple five-star prospects. Key among the new additions is transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley, who joins returning All-SEC talents Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams to form a powerhouse backcourt.
The regular season begins November 4th at home against Houston Christian. Fans can catch a final exhibition game this Thursday at 7 p.m. in the PMAC against Langston. The Tigers will then enter non-conference games featuring Southeastern Louisiana, Georgia Southern, and Charlotte, providing an early test for the roster before tournament season.
