The LSU Women’s basketball didn’t just win their final exhibition game against Langston, they put on a defensive clinic winning 121-41.
The Tigers held Langston to 34.1% from the field and forced them into 36 turnovers. Langston stood under 15 points in all four quarters while the Tigers offense had over 27 points every period.
Amiya Joyner was unstoppable, recording 24 points and 11 rebounds on a perfect 9-for-9 from the floor. Kate Koval also impressed in the paint, tallying the game’s second double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.
A quick 19-2 run to end the first quarter solidified LSU’s early dominance, and a 35-7 advantage in the second quarter put the game out of reach.
The intensity is set. The focus now immediately shifts to the regular season, which tips off on Tuesday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers will host Houston Christian in their season opener at the PMAC, marking the beginning of their quest for another deep postseason run.
