The LSU Men’s Basketball Team moves on to 5-0 on the season after a 99-73 victory against the Omaha Mavericks.
The player of the night was guard Dedan Thomas Jr who had 15 points and 10 assists to finish with a double-double on the day. He also had zero turnovers playing unselfishly and efficient.
Thomas’s favorite target was fellow grad Max Mackinnon who had himself a day with 22 points and 6 three-pointers. He also contributed on defense with a steal and a block.
LSU’s greatest offensive strength tonight was easily their three-point shooting. They shot 15 for 33 from behind the arc, and it was obvious the team wasn’t going to slow down from that area.
LSU’s bench also contributed to tonight’s win. Forward Jalen Reed had 11 points, and guard PJ Carter had 12.
For Omaha, this game could’ve been a lot closer if they made their three throws. They shot 12 for 25 from the line.
After this win, the Tigers will be on the road on November 28th to face off against the Drake Bulldogs.
