The LSU football program announced Monday it will start its Sept. 26 matchup against Syracuse at 11:00 a.m. at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York.
The game is scheduled to be televised on ABC or ESPN and will be the second consecutive week LSU will start a game during daylight. LSU will kickoff this weekend’s conference tilt with Auburn at 2:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium, televised on CBS.
Fournette, Pocic awarded SEC weekly honors
The Southeastern Conference announced Monday LSU sophomore running back Leonard Fournette was tabbed SEC Offensive Player of the Week and junior center Ethan Pocic was chosen as SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Fournette toted the ball 28 times for 159 yards and three touchdowns in LSU’s season opening win Saturday against Mississippi State. Pocic, who lined up for all but one offensive snap, played nearly flawless at his position, recording a personal-best 16 knockdowns while not allowing a sack.
