The LSU men’s basketball team was defeated by the South Carolina Gamecocks 88-63 on Wednesday night at the PMAC.
The Tigers made a late push at the end of the half, led by LSU sophomore guard Brandon Sampson, but still trailed 32-50.
“I was trying to be aggressive,” Sampson said. “I could tell from shoot around today and practice the past two days that this was going to be an aggressive game.”
LSU’s head coach Johnny Jones received a technical foul in the second half to add to the team’s frustration.
“I was just upset of what I thought transpired and happened on that play,” Jones said.
The Tigers will host the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the PMAC, as they try to get their first win in nine games.
