LSU Softball swept Kentucky in a three game series to open up SEC play.

Catcher Maci Bergeron had a breakout hitting game. She hit three homeruns and a 5 RBI. The two homeruns in Sunday’s game were crucial to winning.

On defense, pitcher Sydney Berzon locked down Kentucky’s batters in the circle. By the end of the weekend, she pitched her 11th complete game. Berzon had an impressive ERA of 0.91.

LSU will now travel to Athens, Georgia, and take on the University of Georgia.
