LSU’S matchup against Southeastern is underway. Some students shared their thoughts on if they were confident or worried about the Tigers taking on the Lions.
Question: Are You Worried About the LSU Tigers Taking on the Southeastern Lions?
“No ma’am,” senior Hans Meyer said. “I think we have the win easily. Respect to Southeastern, but I think we have a free win.
“No, not at all,” freshman Miles Glee said. “We’re just the superior team. Better talent. Better training. Better coaching. Just better all of the above.”
“No, I think that we’re going to win,” junior Camilla Wilkins-Bowens said. “Last time we played them was 2018, we won. We’re on a winning streak right now, so I think the record will prevail.”
“No,” sophomore Elijah Copeland said. “Absolutely not. I mean it’s Southeastern.”
The offensive line has been struggling lately. Quarterback Garrett Nussmier can’t make any deep passes. He has been battling with a torso injury since training camp. Could this possibly be a reason for Southeastern to pull ahead?
“We gotta stay faithful and trust our quarterback,” Meyer said. ‘Know that he’s good and trust the process.”
“We’re not struggling as bad as Southeastern is,” Glee said. “So, I think we’ll be fine.”
“As far as our offense, they have been struggling,” Bowens said. “But I think this is a perfect game to try to use what they’ve been doing in practice.”
“I feel like the torso injury is just a cover-up for how bad our offensive line is moving,” Copeland said. “He can throw the ball, but he just chooses not to sometimes.”
