After a 20-10 win over South Carolina, LSU players spoke to the media.
LSU’s offense and defense have been training for a more complementary game, which was seen in this matchup against the Gamecocks.
“All 11 [people] have to be doing… their job and we got to work together as a unit,” Pyburn said, addressing their recent team dynamic.
“If the team doesn’t score, the team doesn’t win, so you know, [defensive positions] have to take accountability too,” Cornerback Mansoor Delane said.
Delane broke up a crucial fourth-down pass for South Carolina in the late fourth quarter, sealing their win.
“I feel like we’re really just supportive of everyone, and it kind of showed today,” Delane said. “We played a little bit more complimentary.”
Tight End Trey’Dez Green had eight catches against South Carolina and one touchdown for LSU.
“Aaron is a big role in what we do here in the offense,” Green said when asked about injured Aaron Anderson. “I had to step up.”
“We’re just taking it day by day right now,” Green said. “We’re trying to go… that’s the plan, to go 1-0 every week,” Green said.
The Tigers are looking for another 1-0 against No. 20 Vanderbilt in Nashville on Oct. 18.
