The LSU Fashion Magazine conducted its annual fashion show, featuring various student designers.
The show reflected what the magazine strives to promote in fashion and across LSU, with designers sourcing pieces through thrifting and from their own closets.
Not only did the runway highlight sustainability, but it also showcased creativity and choreography, with each walk centered around a different theme.
Promoting and supporting student-run businesses, the show featured more than four student brands, ranging from clothing designers and makeup artists to jewelry designers, giving them the opportunity to sell their pieces during intermission.
The organization includes members from a variety of majors, both within and outside of fashion, and aims to serve as a creative outlet for all students, regardless of their field of study.
The organization continues to evolve, creating more opportunities for members to express their creativity. Samone Stanley shares what they added to this show,
“We hosted one last year, we had student brands come in and walk, but our new addition is that we also have some of our members walking in some themes that they picked themselves and their own clothes and clothes that they thrifted” Stanley said.
With its continued growth, the organization hopes to keep expanding opportunities and hosting more events like these for student creatives across campus.
