A jury found Sanchez Brumfield, 23, guilty Wednesday of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder of a University student in 2006.
Aaron Arnold was killed at the Olive Garden on Siegen Lane in 2006. He was 21.
Authorities have said Arnold was helping a woman put gasoline in her car at the time of the incident.
The trial lasted only a day and a half.
