LSU football is gearing up for their next season with the help of newly hired offensive coordinator Matt Canada.
Derrius Guice spoke in a press conference on Thursday and answered questions about what it means to step into the shoes of Leonard Fournette and how the team is adjusting to the new offense put in by Matt Canada.
“I like it. It’s going to be a great fit for us this year,” Guice said when asked about the new offense.
Guice said he is prepared to step out of the shadow of Leonard Fournette. He will step into a leadership position next season as the starting running back and a Heisman contender.
“I have to lead by example by knowing everything,” Guice said.
You can see the new offense at the LSU Football Spring Game on Saturday, April 22nd, in Tiger Stadium.
