LSU fans will soon be able to drink alcohol in another area of Tiger Stadium this fall.
According to the press release from LSU, “The Chute” is located on the ground level of south side of stadium and will sell beer and food along with water and soft drinks starting 2 1/2 hours before kickoff up until the start of the fourth quarter.
Fans must be 21 or older, possess a valid game ticket and pay $20 to gain entry. The $20 fee covers two drinks, and any additional drinks cost $6. All alcoholic beverages must be consumed in The Chute due to Southeastern Conference rules that prevent sale of alcohol in non-premium areas inside stadiums.
The Chute also has video boards and HD televisions so fans can watch highlights, other games, and most importantly — the LSU game.
This is second straight year LSU has added a premium area to Tiger Stadium. Last fall, the Skyline Club was added to the upper deck of the stadium’s south side.
