Two University students recently won the chance to travel anywhere in the world on Kellogg’s dime.
Erin Council and Colby Gothreaux registered online for a Kellogg’s sweepstakes after receiving game cards from the campus Mini-Mart last spring.
The promotion, dubbed “Grab, Go, Get on the Road,” then selected 10 first place winners over the summer and awarded each $1,500 in travel vouchers.
Aprille Wright, marketing director of LSU Dining, said she is thrilled to see two LSU students win.
“It’s just a good way to see that LSU Dining is giving back to the students,” Wright said.
Council, a political science sophomore, said she wants to put the money toward a trip to Europe.
Council said she wants to go to France, England, Italy and Greece at some point, so hopefully this money can go toward visiting some of those countries.
Gothreaux, a psychology sophomore, said he is planning to take a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.
“And I’ve never been to California, so I think I’m going to check it out, too,” he said.
Gothreaux said the good news could not have come at a better time.
“I work full-time, I’m a full-time student and I worked all summer,” he said. “I need a break.”
