LSU Men’s Basketball Senior Guard Jordan Sears spoke to the media after the Tiger’s 66-52 loss to Texas A&M Saturday afternoon.
“I just wanted to win and go out there,” Sears said. “I felt like I was having a great game.”
Sears led the team in points and was the only Tiger to put up double figures scoring 21 points in 35 minutes.
Sears said he did hurt his ankle during the game, but played through the minor injury despite the discomfort.
“I just wanted to go out and get a dub for the guys,” Sears said.
Sears is one of the five seniors the team honored before the game.
“It was a little emotional, but still got a game to play,” Sears said. “It was a little emotional at first because this is your last time playing in the PMAC.”
Sears and the team will travel to Nashville, Tennessee Monday for the SEC Tournament.
“Continue to be LSU, continue to build, continue to keep working,” Sears said. “Play
how we play and everything will work itself out.”
Jordan Sears and the team will play Mississippi State at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
