The LSU Tigers defeated in-state rival UL-Lafayette 17-4 on Tuesday night inside Alex Box Stadium. With that win the Tigers move to 23-3 and get back on track after dropping a road series to Texas.
Tigers bounced back by putting up their second most runs of the season. In the SEC, you faceoff against tough opponents and when you lose, you got to put it behind you and keep moving.
Coach Johnson’s team does a great job of learning from mistakes and improving for next time.
“We learn from what happened in the game, used it very well, and played better tonight,” Coach Johnson said. “You know, you have to move on quickly in this deal. And so that’s kind of what we did.”
In the win tonight, Freshman catcher Cade Arrambide got the star, and he didn’t disappoint. Arrambide finished with three hits, three RBI’s and a home run.
“He’s going to be a great player here,” Coach Johnson said. “He’ll be somebody that’s remembered here when he’s done.”
The Tigers will begin their third SEC series against Mississippi State on Thursday, March 27 at 7 p.m. CT inside Alex Box Stadium.
