The LSU men’s basketball team is set to tip off against Tarleton State on Wednesday night in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, marking the Tigers’ first official game of the season.

Head coach Matt McMahon’s squad is looking to build on their early momentum and continue developing chemistry within a mix of returning players and new faces.

Tarleton State, led by head coach Billy Gillispie, enters the matchup looking to make a statement against an SEC opponent.

Wednesday’s matchup will serve as another early-season test for LSU as McMahon looks to establish his rotation and evaluate the team’s depth.

The Tigers are looking to establish their defensive identity and push the tempo offensively before heading into a series of more nonconference games later this month.

Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be streamed on SEC Network+.

LSU will return to the PMAC next week to host yet another nonconference opponent in the PMAC before traveling for their first away contest of the year.
